First blog post:
and it’s immediately panic.
What to write?
When I found myself in front of this big question, more options opened up in front of me and I got caught by a certain amount of anxiety: ok, I’ll write a presentation post, something about who I am, what I do, why I do it… uh, no, boring… or I’ll start immediately with a post with images of a White Cat Wedding‘s weddings… maybe a post with a DIY project?… a post about the news that there will come soon?… a post with tips for brides and grooms? Aaaaah! Help me!
Then I finally decided. Yes, in some way I have to start introducing myself, but I want to do it my way.
I want to talk with the images.
I created this section of the site to show what I do and there is no better way than using images. I love what a photo, it could be a detail, a smile, a bride, can transmit.
Four posts, four inspiration boards, one for each season, with images of everything I love the most about summer, autumn, winter and spring weddings (within the limits of space and without being too long-winded… if I had to put here everything I love, you would not even reach halfway of this post).
Simplicity, naturalness, details, details, and more details. These are my keywords.
And now let’s leave space to the images which will speak in my behalf.
Let’s start with summer weddings!
First of all the location. Summer for me it’s synonymous with open air. It’s not just about the wedding reception, but also the outdoor ceremony which is trending in Italy right now: at the beach, in front of a magnificent lake view or up the mountains, the hills, among the vineyards. Caution: always have a B plan (or a R plan as in Rain).
Setup: it’s important, very important! Sometimes the location itself allows you to have already a wonderful natural setting, but sometimes essential and fresh decorations with either bright summer or soft colors will make this day your day.
Some advices to save the guests from the heat: fresh water, fans, mosquito repellent, and sunglasses for the most stylish ones. Anything that can be done to alleviate the negative summer muggy weather is certainly welcome.
A summer menu: something cold to drink, fruits, vegetables, an ice cream bar, a simple wedding cake. It already makes me drool…
And finally a lights’ festival. Getting married in the afternoon and then celebrate with a dinner is definitely the ideal choice for a summer day. The night allows you to play with lights: lanterns, candles, lights and stars for a movie atmosphere.
