Are you getting married and are you wondering why you should hire a wedding planner? If you ask to your family and friends you’ll find that, usually, they could help you and so you have no reasons to rely on this professional figure.
Well, in this article I try to recap in five reasons why you should hire a wedding planner. Five reasons…but they could be fifty.
To answer this question I was inspired by the review of the couples that hired me for their wedding.
1 – The wedding planner is a guide
Someone thinks that the wedding planner works and lives between candies, ribbons and nice flowers.
Actually, the wedding planner is a guide: she takes the couples by the arm and brings them on a very important path, their wedding organisation. The wedding planner helps them with all the choices, she shows them the pros and the cons of every requests and options, she gives advices without losing sight of what the couple wants, their desires and their budget
2 – The wedding planner realises your ideas
The wedding planner could give a practical sense to the couple’s ideas and translates their dreams into reality.
Frequently the couples have a thousand confused ideas, or a thousand very clear ideas but not very feasible. What it can be done (and, trust me, everything can be done) often does not coincide with what you can really do for a question of budget, or other reasons. The wedding planner can translate into feasible ideas those that would be unrealistic or confusing, with a project that makes everything coordinated.
3 – The wedding planner coordinates
I prefer to say that the wedding planner keeps the ranks because it seems that there is a thread connected between him and all the suppliers.
What does she do? She researches the most suitable vendors for every wedding and every project, but she also coordinates the work of everyone, checks the payments, carries out site inspections with them, defines timing, and much more.
The wedding planner is for the couple the only point of reference to ask for any information or detail on any vendors, but she is it also for vendors.
4 – The wedding planner calms you
Someone says that the wedding planner is also a psychologist, but, since I have an enormous esteem for those who really does this work, I say that the wedding planner simply calms some couples’ anxiety.
In most cases, the anxiety due from not knowing how to move in the wedding planning, from not having time or from having no idea how to choose the best vendors, or the best solution. Especially if you are not satisfied with the all-inclusive offers (which I would call photocopies) of some vendors/locations.
5 – The wedding planner adds value to your budget
Yes, the wedding planner, like any other professional, has a cost. And it is a cost commensurate with different variables: services offered, experience, type of wedding to be organised, and so on.
It is an investment that should not be seen only as it. It’s a cost that allows you to enhance the entire budget of the wedding, small or large. How? Thanks to the experience gained, the knowledge of the sector, and its costs, she can help the couples to make the most accurate choices to satisfy both their wishes and their finances.
